• FEATURED FLIGHT FRIGHT
Pay for the better airlines it is worth the extra money to avoid the hassles you get with Frontier.
    Summary
Here are two experiences with Frontier that could help you a lot in deciding whether to take a flight with them or not! On my first experience with them, we were told they don't have any seats for us even though we had boarding passes with assigned seats in our hands. They said there's nothing that they could do but when things got heated up, they put us and another family in a limo and drove us to Chicago to go out on a United flight to San Diego. The second one is more disappointing as we experienced waiting then the flight got cancelled.
    Full Fright
One of the definitions for Frontier is the farthermost limits of knowledge or achievement in a particular subject. With the employees they have working for them they have reached the Frontier of the THEIR ABILITY to get their passengers from point A to point b. This is my second bad experience with Frontier Airlines and It will be a cold day in Hades before I ever fly with this airlines again. So let me tell you about my two experiences and It may save you from a lot of headaches. A couple years ago, my wife, 4 yr old granddaughter and myself flew Frontier from San Diego to Des Moines. This flight went well and the chocolate chip cookies were a nice surprise. After enjoying our vacation visiting with family and attending a Wedding we returned to Des Moines for our return flights. We arrived early to the airport and to the best of my knowledge we were the first passengers to arrive. We were checked in and went to the gate. We boarded the plane and flew to our layover in Milwaukee, WI. So far so good, right? Will this is were the headache began. When we attempt to get on our connecting flight we are told they don't have any seats for us even though we had boarding passes with assigned seats in our hands. The Frontier airline employee that helped us attempted to be nice, but was not very understanding of our situation. She told us that we should not have come to Milwaukee but should have been sent to Dallas for our connecting flight and THEIR staff made a mistake. At first we were told there is nothing that can be done that day and they would try to get us on another flight the next day. When we said that was not acceptable the employee's indifference became more evident. So with a my four year old granddaughter crying "I want to see my mommy!" and my wife on the verge of tears I became angry and spoke to a supervisor. I told her I don't care how they do it, how much it costs them, or if they have to put me on another airline we are going home today. After a lot of hemming and hawing from them, they finally told me they would try to make arrangement's. Which they actually did. They put us and another family in a limo and drove us to Chicago to go out on a United flight to San Diego, Now, two years later we made the mistake of going with this same, incompetent airlines. Again they manage to get us to our vacation destination, Sioux Falls, SD without a problem. However, a disappointment to my granddaughter there was no chocolate chip cookie, but a free small glass of soda. After having a wonderful time with family in Sioux Falls, a trip to Mount Rushmore and Custer State park, we begin our nightmare attempt to return home. Again we arrive extremely early for our flight and went through airport security. As a side note the Sioux Falls security are VERY unfriendly which surprises me because of all the wonderful people we met in Sioux Falls. Anyway, after being directed to another gate we board the plane, are pushed out and now sitting in the tarmac when we are told their is a problem with the plane and they would attempt to reset on the tarmac. Well that didn't work and we went back to the gate and were told to exit plane they would have a mechanic repair problem. Later we were told they did not have a ladder for the mechanic so they had to send someone to get a ladder. After waiting and waiting they finally told us the flight was cancelled. So hours after we are supposed to leave and missed our connection in Denver we are now left trying to make other arrangements. Which to their credit they finally got us on to another airline the next morning. The other airline was American which I cannot express enough how much more efficient and friendly their staff was than Frontier. As an additional side note Frontier changed their soda policy between our first and second flight, You now no longer get a free small cup of soda, you now pay $1.99 for it. Maybe I am old fashioned but what happened to companies in the service industry not trying to nickle and dime you to death. What did I learn?, Pay for the better airlines it is worth the extra money to avoid the hassles you get with Frontier.

NOTABLE FRIGHTS
Good Luck not with us and probably not with the millions of parents and families who has a VERY SPECIAL PERSON and yes they are SPECIAL because they don't see this world as cruel as you do.

Unacceptable...I will stick with Southwest Airlines from now on, and tell anyone else to do the same. the few bucks saved wasn't worth the inconvenience.

This airline is an absolute joke, they nickel and dime you for everything, there is no customer service, and apparently the idea of a flight going as planned is impossible. With the arrival of United and Delta to our area never again will I fly with Frontier

Traveling Frontier has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Rude, disrespectful and completely unhelpful. I would highly discourage traveling with them

"I detect an accent. Do you understand English?" - Frontier staff... This is clearly discrimination!!
