Illegal text to husband to tell him I love him in case we crash
Lies lies and the liars who tell them, Merry Christmas.
    Full Fright
This was a Christmas Day flight from Denver to Cedar Rapids (visiting my father, who died a week later).
Flight seems normal (though yes, a typical cramped Frontier flight, complete with cranky flight attendants, Weather report said light drizzle in Cedar Rapids but it was warm out.  Plane descends to make a landing and things don't sound quite right (I have flown hundreds of times and know the sounds that go with replying landing gear, etc.).  Suddenly they are going back up.  Huh.  No announcement - thanks guys.  So we fly around for awhile and they descend again.  Same thing.  This time they decide to give some reason  They say we are going to circle for awhile due to the weather.  They say there was a micro burst (totally untrue).  They try again, and again pull back up.  Then I can tell the plane is ascending to a higher altitude, rather than circling altitude.  About 20 minutes later they announce we are going to Kansas City instead.  No one is happy about this, obviously - its freaking Christmas Day!  But I could tell something was wrong.  When we got closer to KC and I had a phone signal, so I texted my husband that I loved him.  The plane landed and they got us off.  We spotted ambulances and fire trucks all over the runway.
Apparently the problem was the landing gear wasn't popping out and they chose to go to KC because it had a longer runway in case the plane had to slide to a stop.  So we get into the terminal and are told we can't leave the gate area because there are no other flights and security has gone home.  There is no food, and only a vending machine with water and soda.  Hours go by with no announcements, and the person at the counter kept disappearing and ignored people that stood there wanting answers.  We are told maintenance is fixing the plane. After about 3 hours and no new info, I find out that the rental car counters are closing in about 15 minutes, so I go and rent a car and drive the 6 hours to my parents' home.   I found out later that they got people to Cedar Rapids about 10 am the next day.
Frontier Failures
Good Luck not with us and probably not with the millions of parents and families who has a VERY SPECIAL PERSON and yes they are SPECIAL because they don't see this world as cruel as you do.

 Cheaper isn't always better.

Depending on which rules they choose to enforce, you can never be assured that you will be granted access to their boarding process.

I have never had a more infuriating, more frustrating, or more demoralizing experience traveling in my life!

Never again. Rude stewardesses, ignorant pilots, and nothing's free. The price isn't cheap enough for this.
