Because of ONE minute!
I was not allowed to board my prepaid flight because I missed the bag check by ONE minute!!!
    Full Fright
What a horrible experience! This airline is much more concerned with their ridiculous policies than helping their customers. I arrived at the airport one hour before my domestic flight, which is standard, and assumed that i had plenty of time to get to the gate. i had already checked in and payed for my bag online. i took my time getting to the counter and did not rush to the front of the line when i arrived. no "last call" announcements were made, so you can imagine my shock when i was informed that i missed the bag check time by ONE minute. can you imagine someone telling you with a straight face and no apology that you cannot even attempt to board your flight, because of ONE minute!? i am a seasoned traveler and have never heard of such insanity! I believe multiple solutions could have been offered- send the passenger and bag, and if they don't make it to the gate in time, rebook them; allow the passenger to carry the bag through security and check it at the gate; book the passenger on a different airline; if all else fails- at least apologize!!! Such normal solutions are standard policy with other airlines- I was once told at delta checkin, "you're late- we have your bag but u better run to the gate." At least attempt to help your passengers! I watched the person that was in front of me in line head toward the plane. theres no reason why i shouldnt have been allowed to go with them. Frontier told me that checking bags at the gate is not permitted. Guess what? I was rebooked to another flight 7 hours later and what was happening at that gate? The same supervisor who lied to me that morning was asking passengers to check bags at the gate! Additionally, the staff do not wear uniforms- the supervisor was dressed like a 16 year old headed to a football game. Due to their lack of professionalism and customer service, I was 8 hours late to my destination and wasted at least $150 having to change my transportation arrangements. You get what you pay for. I will never fly Frontier again. Both flights (FLL-DEN and return flight) were delayed. On the first flight, the button to lean the seat back was broken. On the return flight, the overhead reading light was broken. The only positive is that the flight attendants on board were cheerful and they brought drinks often.
Frontier Failures
 Cheaper isn't always better.

Depending on which rules they choose to enforce, you can never be assured that you will be granted access to their boarding process.

I fly a fair amount (20+ times per year) and have been on almost all major US carriers, this one takes the cake as the worst!

Worst Airline. Flights always delayed. Poor customer service. Delayed over 3 hours in Denver. I would never fly this Airline. Service has gone down hill over the past few years.

"I detect an accent. Do you understand English?" - Frontier staff... This is clearly discrimination!!
